The RG35XX Plus is a successor of sorts to the RG35XX. For reference, the RG35XX Plus is roughly the same size as the regular RG35XX. While the pair are 117 mm tall and 81 mm wide, the former is slightly thicker than the latter at 22 mm versus 20 mm on account of a larger battery. As a result, the RG35XX Plus is heavier than the RG35XX too, but only by 21g at 186g.

Additionally, the RG35XX Plus features a four-fold RAM increase, with Anbernic including 1 GB of DDR4 RAM rather than the 256 MB DDR3 equivalent it uses in the RG35XX. Moreover, the RG35XX Plus contains a 27% larger battery capacity than the RG35XX (3,300 mAh).
